The Edge Technology Innovation Hub
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of education and we have the potential to revolutionize how students discover and interact with content. The Edge Innovation Hub was created to provide not only resources and training, but to also aid in the delivery of instructional resources, tools, and strategies in the classroom. The Edge+ Professional Learning Cycle
The E.D.G.E. Professional Learning Cycle at Eastern York School District centers around building innovative, compassionate, and empowered educators through four distinct professional development Phases. Each phase will focus on a different components of becoming a modern and effective educator who creates positive and personalized learning experiences for the students of EYSD.
Award Winning Modern Curriculum
Our modernization of district curriculum continues to evolve and grow through the creation of a district-wide continuum of learning, individual course-specific learning progressions, and a deep rooted connection to community assets and career exploration. At Eastern York we strive to reach every student through a comprehensive and interactive curriculum that prepares them for an unknown future. This new curriculum design process walks professionals through four phases that includes Laying the Foundation, Curating & Designing, Access & Implementation, and Continuously Monitoring.

The Eastern York Digital Ecosystem strives to be innovative future focused as we frame the journey towards modern teaching and learning where every child can be successful and celebrated as we communicate with families every step of the way. From a research-based instructional model to a connected learner portal to digital classroom and LMS integration, our award-winning digital ecosystem keeps communication, access, and equity at the forefront of our endeavors.
Competency-Based Badging System
The Eastern York Mastery Badging System is a teacher-driven, learner-centered reporting system that was developed to increase transparency and empower learners and families to take ownership of their education. Our families are connected to their child’s learning like never before. The system was designed to teach to the edges and zero in on the skills and concepts a child is learning. This program features a detailed and individualized dashboard that is updated in real-time, so parents are always kept in the loop of their child’s academic progress and achievements. The mastery badging system shares detailed information such as standards-based learning progression, skill assessment tracking, and a wide array of student profile information that is securely shared with individual families. We want to be transparent partners with parents.

Even before my role as a Technology Innovation Specialist, I was always involved with designing and delivering high-quality professional development.
